Think Italian whites and you’ll probably think of PG, Verdicchio, Frascati and a dozen others before you even ponder the possibility of there being any Riesling. Though not synonymous with the country, there are some great wines coming out of the north of Italy and this is no exception. This is fine and delicate with classic Riesling flavours of lime, petrol and a touch of lemongrass. It’s unfair to refer to this as an introduction to Riesling as, no matter what your experience of the grape, it’s a hugely enjoyable wine.
