Delivery Driver & Warehouse Assistant

We're one of the UK's leading independent wine merchants. Family owned since 1960, we've built our reputation on outstanding customer service, quality wines and strong relationships across the South of England.

We're looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Delivery Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our team based in Pulborough. This is much more than a driving role. You'll become an important part of our warehouse team, helping us deliver exceptional wines and the kind of service that keeps our customers coming back.

THE ROLE -

  • Deliver wine to trade and private customers throughout the South East
  • Provide excellent customer service on every delivery
  • Assist with picking and packing customer orders
  • Help with warehouse organisation and stock movement
  • Support the warehouse team with day-to-day operations

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

  • Enjoys meeting people and providing excellent customer service
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is physically fit and comfortable lifting cases of wine
  • Holds a full, clean UK driving licence
  • Is over 21 years of age (insurance purposes)
  • Has the legal right to work in the UK

Part-Time Retail Wine specialist – Pulborough

We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Retail Wine Specialist to join our team in our Pulborough shop.

As a well-established independent wine merchant, we're passionate about great wine and exceptional customer service. This role would suit someone who enjoys meeting people, sharing their enthusiasm for wine, and being part of a small, supportive team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing a warm welcome and outstanding customer service
  • Offering advice and recommendations on our wines and spirits
  • Assisting customers with purchases, gifts, and event planning
  • Keeping the shop well-stocked, organised, and looking its best
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries
  • Processing sales through the till system
  • Helping with in-store tastings and events
  • Supporting the wider team with the day-to-day running of the shop

What We're Looking For

  • A passion for wine and excellent customer service
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Confidence talking to customers and building relationships
  • Retail or hospitality experience would be an advantage
  • WSET qualifications are desirable but not essential

Hours

  • Tuesday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm (with one hour for lunch)
  • Saturday: 9:00am – 6:00pm (with one hour for lunch)

There will also be a requirement for additional hours covering staff holidays and busy seasonable periods throughout the year.
