There is considerably more going on here than its delicate pink colour initially suggests. Wild strawberry and red cherry provide the first impression, but the fruit quickly gives way to blood orange, rosehip and a gentle savoury character, with touches of dried herbs and spice adding another layer. The palate has texture and substance, balancing ripe red fruit with bright acidity and a subtle phenolic grip. Rather than simply finishing crisp and fruity, it develops a more gastronomic character through the finish, with citrus peel, herbs and a faint mineral note lingering behind the fruit.

Produced from Pinot Noir grown in Sussex, this is an English rosé with ambitions beyond straightforward summer drinking. The cool climate naturally preserves freshness, but the wine has enough ripeness and structure to give it genuine presence at the table. It sits somewhere between the delicacy expected of English rosé and the more textural, food-oriented styles found in serious European examples — nuanced enough to evolve in the glass and particularly well suited to charcuterie, grilled fish, salmon or Mediterranean dishes.
