Aromas of soft orchard fruit, honey, and malt rise from the glass, with touches of vanilla, heather, and gentle spice. The palate is smooth and rounded, showing flavours of apple, pear, and toffee balanced by light oak and a hint of nutmeg. Its warm golden colour reflects the whisky’s gentle maturation, while the finish is medium in length, softly sweet and lightly spiced.
Produced in the Highlands just south of Inverness, Tomatin has long been known for its fruit-forward and approachable style. The 12 Year Old is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, giving both freshness and a subtle richness. Once one of Scotland’s largest distilleries, Tomatin today focuses on quality and balance, with this bottling standing as a classic introduction to the house character — smooth, fruity, and versatile, whether sipped neat or enjoyed with a splash of water.
