The Hilt Estate Pinot Noir 2019

Defined by fruit and flavours of The Hilt's little southwestern corner of the Sta, Rita Hills. The Hilt Pinot Noir provides an exuberant and sophisticated bouquet of black cherry, plum, clove and peppercorn. The palate is built with a kaleidoscope of fruits from black fruits, raspberry and grapefruit to olive, black tea, and violets. Savoury and bright with a fine acidity and present tannin structure. A polished and sophisticated Californian Pinot Noir. Pair with roast chicken, grilled meats or cheese.

"The Hilt's Estate Pinot, a blend from Radian and Bentrock Vineyards, has it both ways—generosity of fruit with earthy, savoury layers. Loam opens on the nose, immediately followed by hints of rose petal, brambleberry, and mushroom. A burst of bright raspberry on the first sip, edged with orange zest, toggles over to herbal and saline notes, with velvet textures belying plenty of tannin.
