Dom Pérignon 2013 Champagne, France, 75cl

Dom Pérignon 2013
Champagne, France, 75cl
A prestigious vintage Champagne showing both energy and refinement, crafted from a precise balance of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The bouquet is elegant and layered, with citrus, pear and peach interwoven with brioche, almond and white flowers. The palate is vibrant yet harmonious, combining orchard fruit and citrus zest with fine bubbles, lively acidity and a long, graceful finish. Extended lees ageing has added depth and complexity, giving the wine tension, balance and impressive ageing potential.
Dom Pérignon, produced only in the best years, is one of the world’s most celebrated Champagnes and a symbol of luxury. The 2013 vintage reflects a cool, late harvest that brought freshness, precision and clarity, resulting in a wine of poise and longevity.
"The 2013 Dom Pérignon is quite delicate and understated. It reminds me of the 2004, but with a bit more mid-palate richness and a bit less energy. Apricot, tangerine peel, white flowers, jasmine, mint and light honeyed notes all meld together. There’s lovely vinous intensity as well as a feeling of openness that make the 2013 a delight to taste today. The 2013 doesn’t look to be an epic DP, but it sure is delicious right now." - 94 Pts, Antonio Galloni, Vinous
“Intense, lightly spicy nose and then on the palate very smooth-textured, gentle and lifted, with light bitterness on the finish – grapefruit peel? Some lightly vegetal notes and very long. Seamless texture and already very agreeable.” - 18.5 Pts, Jancis Robinson MW
