From 10 year old vines, the fruits is 100% de-stemmed with 18-21 days indigenous yeast fermentation in stainless steal tanks. The wines then spend 16 months in barrel. Introduced into the Noëllat range in 2015, Maxim Cheurlin has produced a lovely second release. Although 2016 saw a small harvest, this is delicious, showing very fruit forward and easy drinking in style, with perfumed wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherries on the nose that follow through onto a silky palate with subtle spice and forest floor notes on the finish.
