Hatozaki Pure Malt Japanese Whisky

Elegant and gently aromatic, this Pure Malt opens with notes of honey, ripe pear, and citrus peel, layered with vanilla, soft spice, and a hint of toasted oak. The palate is smooth and balanced, showing orchard fruit alongside light malt sweetness and subtle floral tones. Its pale gold colour reflects the whisky’s delicacy, while the finish is clean and graceful, with lingering hints of fruit and spice.

Produced at the Kaikyō Distillery in Hyōgo, Hatozaki takes its name from Japan’s oldest stone lighthouse, symbolising guidance and tradition. The Pure Malt is crafted exclusively from malt whiskies, aged in a variety of cask types including bourbon, sherry, and Mizunara oak, lending complexity while retaining a light, approachable style. True to the Japanese blending ethos, it offers refinement and harmony, making it an accessible introduction to the country’s whisky craftsmanship.
