Amarone wines can sometimes be too much; massive alcohol, massive fruit and massive sweetness are always the greatest combination and often mask the subtlety and nuance in wine. This wine is definitely Amarone but it's also well-balanced and approachable. Made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. The grapes are hand harvested at the end of October and these late harvested grapes are dried for four months (until January following the vintage) before being crushed. Ripe, warm and generous on the nose with abundant plum and cherry aromas, roasted coffee beans and hints of dried fruits.
