Fletcher Barbaresco Starderi 2019

Coming from one of Barbaresco's most westerly crus, Fletcher Barbaresco Starderi 2019 is all about power, elegance and restraint. Surprisingly drinkable given its infant age, this Nebbiolo is classically grippy and full of tension on the front-end, revealing sappy red bramble fruits with a lick of graphene and a herbaceous tones. This leads on to an impressively structured mid-palate that builds on a long, chalk driven finish. One to cellar, Dave is truly a master of his craft, with this bottling, along with his newly released Faset and Roncaglie crus, stand testament to that. Unfined and unfiltered.
