A finely structured Nebbiolo from the Faset cru in Barbaresco, showing both elegance and depth. Perhaps the most richly textured and opulent of the three single cru's, Faset 2020 has a bouquet that is perfumed with red cherry, raspberry and rose petals, layered with hints of spice, tobacco and dried herbs. The palate is poised and complex, with juicy red fruit, firm tannins and bright acidity carrying through to a long, graceful finish. Careful ageing in oak casks adds savoury nuance and polish, enhancing the wine’s balance and ageing potential. Seriously impressive year-on-year, this has a long cellaring life ahead of it, especially in magnum.
