Domaine Duroché's Bourgogne Côte d'Or Pinot Noir 2019 is vivid and lively displaying fresh (but full) red fruits; raspberries combined with red cherries, some oak and a pleasing spicy note on the finish. Good acidity and silky tannins give this wine a very enjoyable feel. A brilliant, Bourgogne that pushes well above its class. Unfined and unfiltered.Grapes are picked from two beautiful lieux dits in the south the "Roncevie" and in the north the "Comble". The cultivation of these plots is similar to every other vine at Domaine Duroché. Pierre Duroché is a rising star among the young vignerons of Burgundy. Taking over from his father, he has at his disposal four grand crus holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin, including Latricières-Chambertin and Charmes-Chambertin, amongst other village vineyards. Farmed under organic practices, yields are deliberately low with Pierre utilising minimal oak ageing and no fining and filtering. The result are wines of precision, depth and vibrant fruit.
