Marsannay Rouge Les Vaudenelles Domaine Bruno Clair 2017

Another great introduction to one of the best producers in Burgundy, his Chambolle Musigny 2019 that I tasted in March is one of the best wines I have tried this year. This Marsannay 2017 was also a stand-out and a good value alternative to many a more southerly Gevrey Chambertin. Expect raspberry, cherry fruit and, as older oak barrels were used for ageing, a round, spicy note. Nick Poston
