Crisp and mineral-driven, this Premier Cru opens with aromas of lemon zest, green apple, and white peach, underpinned by flinty notes and a touch of sea spray. The palate is precise and energetic, showing bright citrus and orchard fruit framed by taut acidity and a chalky, saline edge. Pale straw in colour, it finishes long, clean, and distinctly mineral, with classic Chablis tension.
Domaine Alexandre farms vineyards on the right bank of the Serein, where Fourchaume is one of Chablis’ most celebrated Premier Cru sites. The Kimmeridgian limestone soils and favourable exposure give wines of both concentration and finesse. Crafted in a restrained style that favours purity over oak, this cuvée captures the balance and structure that define top-class Chablis.
