A refined and elegant Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé ‘A’. The bouquet is layered with black cherry, plum and blackberry, alongside notes of violet, cedar, tobacco and exotic spice. The palate is silky yet structured, with ripe dark fruit, polished tannins and fresh acidity driving into a long, graceful finish. Fully mature, it shows both depth and finesse.
Château Cheval Blanc, with origins dating back to the 19th century, is one of Bordeaux’s most celebrated estates. Renowned for its high proportion of Cabernet Franc blended with Merlot, it consistently produces wines of perfume, complexity and longevity. The 2006 vintage reflects the château’s hallmark elegance and balance.
"The 2006 Château Cheval Blanc is a blend of 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc. It has the most floral bouquet of the four Serié A Grand Cru Classé: an explosion of crushed violets and potpourri, hints of leather and cigar box, the Cabernet Franc clearly lending this complexity and character. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. It feels wonderfully structured and comes with an insistent grip that coats the mouth.
