Dark, intense, and expressive, Prima opens with aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum, layered with notes of liquorice, violet, and warm spice. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, showing concentrated dark fruit, polished tannins, and a core of freshness that keeps the wine balanced. Deep ruby-purple in colour, it finishes long and savoury, with lingering spice, mineral notes, and ripe fruit.

Produced in Toro, Prima is crafted primarily from old-vine Tinta de Toro, a local expression of Tempranillo known for its depth and structure. Bodega San Román combines traditional vineyard practices with modern winemaking to balance power and finesse. Prima is designed as a more approachable counterpart to the estate’s top cuvées, offering intensity and character while remaining accessible in its youth.
