Billecart Salmon Le Rose NV

Few rosé Champagnes manage to combine delicacy and character quite as effortlessly as Billecart-Salmon Le Rosé. Its signature pale pink colour introduces an exquisitely perfumed nose of wild strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant, with touches of citrus zest, rose petal and freshly baked pastry. The palate is wonderfully fine-boned, with tiny, persistent bubbles carrying pristine red berry fruit over a line of bright citrus acidity. There is a subtle creaminess through the middle, but the overriding impression is one of purity and finesse, finishing long, graceful and refreshingly precise.

Le Rosé has become one of Billecart-Salmon's defining cuvées and a benchmark for elegant rosé Champagne. Chardonnay provides much of the wine's refinement and freshness, supported by Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, including red wine from the Montagne de Reims that brings its delicate colour and red-fruit character. Rather than pursuing power or overt vinosity, the house builds Le Rosé around fragrance, texture and balance – sophisticated enough for the finest occasions, yet remarkably easy to enjoy.
