The 2023 vintage of Camins del Priorat shows a deep ruby colour with purple reflections. The nose is lifted and expressive, offering ripe black cherry, blackberry, and plum, layered with violets, Mediterranean herbs, and a subtle graphite edge. On the palate, it is vibrant and approachable, with supple tannins and juicy acidity framing the dark fruit core. Notes of licorice, cocoa, and mineral spice add depth, leading to a fresh, lively finish that makes this wine both immediately enjoyable and distinctly reflective of its Priorat origins.

Álvaro Palacios is one of Spain’s most renowned winemakers, credited with helping to revive Priorat in the late 20th century. Camins del Priorat is his most accessible bottling, crafted from a blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, and small portions of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from steep slate (“llicorella”) vineyards. Unlike his more structured, ageworthy cuvées, Camins is designed to capture the essence of the region in a more youthful, fruit-forward style, offering an introduction to both Palacios’ philosophy and the dramatic terroir of Priorat.
