Sugrue, The Trouble with Dreams 2015 is another exquisite release. Having spent 4 years on lees and 6 months on cork, this shows golden amber with a tranquil nose of stewed apple, rich stone fruits and subtle biscuit and oatmeal notes. The palate is unmistakably English combining fresh orchard and stone fruits characteristics with savoury toasty and pastry notes. The finish is long and richly textured. A remarkable wine!
“Made by Dermot Sugrue, former winemaker at Nyetimber, comes this incredible, highly complex wine. With a tiny production and handmade feel throughout, this is a spellbinding wine and one which will woo everyone who tastes it.”- Matthew Jukes (2013)
“Full, with a delicious, opulent, creamy texture. The mouthwatering, sweet apple fruit on the palate is supported by a savoury, spicy note and a refreshing acidity. A great wine with a real purity of flavour and great, pithy mouthfeel.”- 96 Points, Richard Hemming MW (2013)
