Often considered a Napa Valley ‘first-growth’ estate, Stag’s Leap has become synonymous with winning the famous 1976 Judgement of Paris competition. A classic expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with a small proportion of Merlot and Malbec. Deep purple-black in colour with a gratifying nose of black cherry, blackberry and mulberries with a hint of cedar wood and spice. The palate is voluptuous and multi-layered with dominant blackberry, clove and spice notes. The finish is rich and long. Pair with a fillet of steak or a rich pasta dish.
“A finely-crafted, sultry style with a gorgeous blackberry and damson character. Black cherries, clove, cigar box and tobacco notes”- 93 Pts, Decanter Magazine
