Roebuck Estates Rosé de Noirs 2016 is an exceptional first-release. Made from hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes grown on the estate’s picturesque Roman Villa Vineyard near Petworth. The fruit is gently whole-bunch pressed and fermented in the finest Burgundian oak barrels, with a further 36 months minimum lees-ageing in bottle before release. Delicate pink in colour (imparted from a splash of Pinot Précoce prior to release) with a fresh bouquet of wild strawberry, peach and rose petals. Beautifully balanced on the palate. There’s layers of red fruits; strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, finishing long and creamy. A superb English Sparkling Rosé de Noirs, best enjoyed on any special occasion!
Roebuck Estates Rosé de Noirs 2016
“I’ve tasted a huge number of wonderful English wines so far this year, and this extraordinary rosé sparkler is among the best. Dry and lean, with stunning redcurrant purity, it’s vivacious and fabulously refreshing.” – Matthew Jukes
“First vintage of this wine, just 2000 bottles made. 12% alcohol. Pale pink in colour. This is really pure and precise with fresh redcurrant and cherry fruit, as well as lively citrus notes. It’s very fine and linear with good acidity that is countered nicely by appropriate dosage. Really pure and quite delicious: combines fun with a touch of seriousness.” – 91/100, Jamie Goode, Wineanorak.com
“Good light pale pink in colour with a fine sappy red fruit nose. On the palate tremendous, fragrant, focused and intense, floral notes, violets, rich red cherry. Well balanced with good length.” – 95 Pts, IWSC 2021
