Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvée 2014 is an exceptional English Sparkling wine with elegance and finesse to rival the best houses from Champagne. Comprised of a blend of 47% Chardonnay, 38% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier. Rich, yet pale lemon in colour. The nose shows and abundance of baked orchard fruits and toasted pastry notes. The palate is beautifully balanced, with layers of toasty richness and truffle notes coming through from a generous 36 months lees ageing. Roebuck Estates Classic Cuvée 2014 is drinking well now, this will no-doubt improve with age. To be enjoyed as an aperitif on any occasion and a worthy accompaniment with fish and chips or a fillet of salmon. They have also produced excellent first-release Blanc de Noirs and Rose de Noirs worth checking out.
“An attractive and quite intense bouquet of baked Braeburn apples, a touch of pear. The palate is fresh with a creamy texture, harmonious and delineated. Those baked apples define the finish, and there is a welcome pinch of spice on the aftertaste. A fine cuvée from Roebuck Estates.” Neal Martin, Vinous.com
