An excellent new release from Poynings Grange based in the beautiful rolling South Downs. Poynings Grange Bacchus 2018 shows bright green in hue with a lovely bouquet of fresh elderflower, lychee and stone fruits on the nose. The palate is fresh, with salivating acidity and an oily, mouthcoating texture. Theirs’s layers upon layers of ripe citrus, pineapple, pear and orchard fruit flavours alongside a subtle creamy finish. A versatile wine to be enjoyed on it’s own or paired with seafood or white meat dishes. With every release Poynings Grange go from strength-to-strength and their 2018 Bacchus is another fine release is one of finest English Bacchus‘ we’ve tried!
A really exciting estate, who also produce a small batch Vintage Blanc de Blancs.
