A lower alcohol sparkling wine made from 100% Pinot Noir. A soft blush pink in colour, with a delicate mousse. Refreshingly light on the palate with wild strawberry and raspberry fruits and a tangy finish. Produced as a young, natural wine with minimal interference, fermented to 10% alcohol.
“Perhaps it’s the power of suggestion, but it really does smell nutty to me! Like a toasty, seedy, nutty cracker. Plenty of prickle and wire, and for some reason it reminds me of those wonderful hand-carved, wooden marionette puppets dancing in the hands of a master puppeteer. Arrestingly savoury. A brilliant lower-alcohol option for sparkling wine; you would not notice the lower alcohol and it would be perfect for afternoon canapés (or lunch, quite frankly, if you’re like me and grew up in southern Africa where the rule was that you could have a drink as long as the (single, 11:30 am) Boeing had flown over).
