White port without an age statement is typically drunk cold with tonic water to make a refreshing aperitif. Kopke’s 10 Year Old on the other hand break’s the mould. Consumed cold, this is beautifully aromatic with intense spices and stone fruit flavours. Sweetness and acidity are perfectly balanced with a long, luscious finish. Remarkably fresh given the age, this is a wonderful aperitif with rich dishes such as mushroom risotto or equally paired with apple crumble dessert.
