Established in 1975 the Jansz Tasmania vineyard lies in the Tamar Valley located in the North-Eastern region of Tasmania. Due to a cool climate, the Jansz Tasmania vineyards are ideal for the grapes to ripen slowly and develop the lingering acidity to produce premium sparkling wine. Jansz was Tasmania’s first sparkling wine to be made according to the traditional method champenoise, which has since become the technique that is used in creating each of their definitive wines.
A brilliant alternative to Champagne, the Jansz Tasmania Premium NV Cuvée is made up of 58% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Meunier. Scents of honeysuckle and citrus are immediately apparent with slight aromas of nougat, roasted nuts and strawberry driven from the Pinot Noir. The palate is well balanced with delicate fruit flavours and creaminess from the fine mousse and fresh acidity. The finish is long-lasting in a citrusy and dry style.
