It was only a matter of time before Paul Hobbs arrived in Cahors, the birthplace of Malbec. This wine is the result of his work with 4th generation Cahors vintner Bertrand Vigouroux . It’s nearly opaque but has a bright and harmonious nose of cherry, black plum and blackberries with a hint of ash and leather. The expansive palate is alive with fresh fig, raspberry and redcurrant finishing with earthy tannins with a touch of freshly cracked pepper.
