From another great vintage, Château Pavillon Beauregard 2018 shows an attractive, deep purple hue. The nose first reveals a wide range of intense aromatics with crisp, well-ripened fruits, such as morello cherry and blackberry. Chocolaty, spicy and toasted notes then come through. The palate is immediately appealing showing well-ripened blackcurrant, red cherry and chocolate notes balanced with silky, round tannins. Long on the finish with prominent spices, pencil shavings and tobacco notes. Château Pavillon Beauregard 2018 is a fresh, elegant and well-balanced Bordeaux, ready to drink now or with further bottle age.
“Composed of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Pavillon Beauregard gives up notes of baked blackberries, stewed plums and warm black cherries with touches of fallen leaves and damp soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has nice juicy black fruit and a chewy frame with a just enough freshness and an earthy finish.” – 86-88 Pts, Lisa Perrotti-Bown, RoberParker.com
