Bolney Estate Blanc de Noirs 2015 is a very stylish vintage, traditional method, quality sparkling wine. Made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steal tanks with malolactic fermentation. Lovey rose gold in hue with a fine mousse and aromatic, red-fruited bouquet. The palate is rich and well-balanced, revealing lots of stone fruit character, notes of runny honey and fresh green pear. Fresh and vibrant on the finish with a mouthcoating creaminess from 2 years lees-ageing. Bolney Estate Blanc de Noirs is a serious English sparking wine and a first for the estate. Pair with salmon, lamb or a decadent bar of dark orange chocolate – delightful!
“Significantly different fruit profile to their Classic Cuvée, pleasingly – much richer, sweeter fruit which isn’t really ‘red’ in style, but does have a lovely floral fragrance to it. Really scrumptious, and reflects the BdN style authentically.” 17/20 – Richard Hemming, JancisRobinson.com
