Albourne Estate Blanc de Noirs 2013 is made from 100% hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes. Gentle whole-bunch pressing takes place with the wine spending a generous 44 months minimum aging on lees in bottle. Poured in the glass, this shows beautiful copper gold in hue with a fine stream of persistent mousse. The palate is rich, complex and full of mature autolytic characters of butter, brioche and biscuit with a hint of red fruits and white chocolate on a long finish. Albourne Estate have produced a fantastic English Sparkling Wine, perfect enjoyed as an aperitif or paired with food. Brilliant value too!
