This wine is produced at Planeta's Feudo di Mezzo winery, situated in the heart of Etna's viticulture area. Made from Nerello Mascalese it really does reflect the unique expressionof Etna's terroir. Vanilla, sour cherry, wild strawberry; this is very clean and floral. In the mouth it is substantial but smooth with very expressive fruit and more complex aromatic elements of undergrowth, myrtle and oriental spices. It's a wine which unexpectedly transforms into a very drinkable red wine with marked savoury flavours with rhubarb and very evident black pepper.
