One of the oldest family estates in Savigny-lès-Beaune (currently in its 6th generation) Jean-Jacques Girard covers roughly 15 hectares under vine. A father and son operation, the estate utilizes modern and traditional winemaking techniques to produce wines of complexity and freshness. Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Peuillets is the perfect example, revealing vivid red berry fruits, spices and cracked peppery notes. Lovely and pure with complex mineral and oak notes on a lingering, rich finish. A stunning Burgundy made even better in Magnum form. Pair with roasted duck, Mediterranean dishes or simply enjoyed on its own with a group of friends!
