A beautifully poised Sauternes offering richness and freshness in equal measure. Aromas of apricot, honey and candied citrus peel are lifted by notes of white flowers and spice. The palate is luscious yet refined, with layers of ripe stone fruit, orange zest and acacia honey balanced by vibrant acidity, leading to a long, elegant finish. A wonderfully versatile sweet wine, perfect with fruit desserts, blue cheese or as a luxurious aperitif.

Carmes de Rieussec is the second wine of Château Rieussec, one of Sauternes’ great names and a First Growth in the 1855 classification. Owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), the estate has become renowned for producing benchmark Sauternes with both power and precision. Carmes is crafted to be more approachable in youth, while still carrying the pedigree of its illustrious parent estate.
