UK* courier deliveries
Next day delivery is FREE for orders over £100. Orders under this attract a flat charge of £7.50. We ‘ll send all orders received by 3pm Monday – Friday on a next day* service (including delivery on Saturday). Please note that we do not despatch on weekends or Bank Holidays. The stock levels of our wines are marked throughout our site so you can see exactly what’s available on a next day service and what is stored elsewhere in our company so takes a touch longer, 2-4 days, to despatch and deliver. All deliveries require a signature unless otherwise stated (see Signatures section below). If the recipient isn’t in, our couriers will attempt to leave the delivery in a requested safe place or return it to their depot for re-delivery. We use DPD for our courier deliveries so you can add and amend delivery instructions ‘in flight’. *Some parts of the UK are classed as ‘remote’ by our courier company so may be sent on a slower service or will incur separate or additional costs – please see Scotland deliveries and UK ‘remote’ deliveries section below for further details. Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.
UK ‘remote’ deliveries
All other deliveries are charged per case or part (1 case is 9 litres of wine, equivalent to 12x 75cl bottles). Some areas of the country listed below have a higher carriage charge which will be clearly shown at checkout and will have a longer delivery time (up to 2-5 working days). Scottish Highlands and Islands (AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41, PH49-50, HS1-9, IV40-51, IV55-56, KA27-28, KW15-17, PA20, PA41-49, PA60-78, PH42-44, ZE1-3); Northern Ireland (BT) – 48 hour road service. Please contact us if you would like more than 4 cases sent to any of these areas so we can provide you with the most cost effective quote.
Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Guernsey and Jersey
Please contact us with details of your order so we are able to provide a quote for deliveries to these parts of the UK.
Next day delivery is not available to all parts of Scotland. Deliveries to postcodes AB31-56, FK17-21, G83, HS1-9, IV, KA27-28, KW0-17, PA20-78, PH15-99 and ZE will be sent on a two day service once ready for despatch.
Costs of delivery
We charge all courier deliveries at below cost so never make any money on them. We’ve chosen to utilise a reliable courier, DPD, with a strong and robust network as well as an incredibly strong, yet pricey by comparison to most, superior recycled packaging solution. This means that sometimes you’ll see cheaper delivery options available through other companies but we’d prefer that your order arrived on time and in one piece.
If you are receiving your order via courier, you’ll receive email updates so you can track the progress of your delivery and if you provide a mobile telephone number you’ll also receive interactive SMS to let you know your parcel’s progress. Our couriers, DPD, have industry leading tracking that allows you to update your preference when your delivery is on the move.
All of our deliveries require a signature. If you request, directly with DPD, verbally, via email or in the comments section at checkout, that we leave your order without a signature this is done so entirely at your own risk and any losses will not be replaceable.
Local delivery via Hennings Wine
If your postcode is shown below, you’ll be able to select the free local delivery within 5 working days option at checkout (minimum spend of £50). Postcodes covered are: BN5, BN12, BN13, BN14, BN16, BN17, BN18, BN44, RH12, RH13, RH14, RH20, GU6, GU7, GU8, GU27, GU28, GU29, PO18, PO19, PO20, PO21, PO22. Once you’ve placed your order, we’ll contact you to let you know when we will deliver it. If you require your order on or by a specific day then please contact us before placing it – we’ll see what we can do!
We offer a free collection service from our warehouse in Pulborough when you spend over £25. Simply place your order online, select the Collection from Warehouse option, and we’ll email you to let you know when it’s ready to collect. Please note collections are Monday – Friday Upon arrival, please come to the side of the building and ring the bell at our Goods Out shutter. A member of our team will then check your ID and place your order on a table, from where you will be able to collect and load it into your vehicle. Please observe current social distancing measures.
We offer a free collection service from our shops when you spend over £25 Simply place your order online, selecting your preferred shop, and we’ll email you to let you know when it’s ready to collect. At the moment, it can take up to five working days to get your order to one of our shops so you can collect it. Please ensure you have your payment card and a copy of your order (electronic or printed) when collecting as a member of our team will need to check this against your order. Please note that you must be over 18 years old to collect alcohol from one of our shops.
Unfortunately international deliveries are currently suspended. We will notify all of our customers if this changes in the future so don’t forget to sign up for our updates.
