How much do I have to order?
Just one bottle â€“ be it a standard size, magnum, half or 20cl. Order as much or little as you want to â€“ we lavish care and attention on every single order.
What sort of discounts do you offer?
As long as the item isnâ€™t already reduced we offer a 10% discount on 12 bottles and a 5% discount on 6 bottles. This can be a mixture of full price items and sizes but unfortunately doesnâ€™t include spirits, fortified and beers.
Are your stock levels accurate?
We keep our online stock levels as accurate as possible and ensure they are updated every working day. As you can imagine, with four shops and a large wholesale business, from time to time stock levels can be slightly erroneous. If there are any problems with your order or delivery method selected weâ€™ll contact you straight away to resolve it.
When will I receive my order?
We despatch all orders received before 12pm on a next day service as long as all your products show as available for next day delivery. If you order after 12pm weâ€™ll send it the next working day.
Why does it show a 2/4 day delivery option?
While we keep 99% of our stock at our central warehouse we do also keep stock at our four shops. If the 2/4 day delivery option is shown it means that some of the stock for your order is at one of our shops so it takes us an additional day or two to despatch it.
Some of my items say that next day delivery is available and other ones are only available in 2/4 days â€“ will I receive two deliveries?
No, weâ€™ll send all of your order at the same time so, in this instance, youâ€™d receive it in 2/4 days.
So if I order on a Friday before 12pm Iâ€™ll receive it on Saturday?
Unfortunately not; our standard next day service only delivers Monday-Friday, excluding bank holidays. Our couriers do offer a Saturday delivery option though so please call us on 01798 872485 if this is required and weâ€™ll let you know if itâ€™s achievable.
I donâ€™t need the wine straight away as Iâ€™m going to be away for a bit â€“ can I defer delivery to a different date?
Absolutely, simply enter the information at checkout in the order notes box. Weâ€™ll do everything we can to accommodate this and will let you know if there are any issues.
Iâ€™ve selected local delivery. When will I receive my wine?
For orders over Â£75 with a qualifying postcode (the full list is in our Shipping and Delivery section) we offer free delivery. If your order is under this and has a qualifying postcode we charge a flat Â£4.99. Once youâ€™ve placed your order a member of our team will contact you to let you know when one of our friendly drivers can deliver your bottles.
Are the prices the same as they are in your shops?
99% of the prices on our website are identical to those in our shops. We do, however, offer a range of wines on our website that are discounted to a greater extent than they are elsewhere in our business. You can find these wines via our menu, simply hover over shop and select â€˜Exclusive Web Offersâ€™. These prices are not available through our shops.
Can I collect my order in one of your shops?
Yes, as long as the option is shown at checkout. If you select this option you will need to make sure you take your payment card with you as weâ€™ll need to check it for ID purposes. Sorry, but we canâ€™t release an order without it.
When will I be able to collect it?
Weâ€™ll send your order to your preferred shop so that it is available to collect within 48 hours Monday-Friday. Weâ€™ll send you an email or telephone you to let you know when it can be collected.
Are the bottles in the pictures the ones Iâ€™ll receive?
No, the images on our site are purely for illustrative purposes only and often show older vintages. Things like packaging, closure and bottle colour can even change in the same vintage. The glass in the image is also for artistic purposes only and doesn’t contain what’s in the bottle!
But Iâ€™ll receive the vintage Iâ€™ve ordered right?
Yes, thereâ€™s nothing more annoying when buying wine online than receiving a different vintage than the one youâ€™ve ordered (the one in the title and details). If thereâ€™s ever a problem with something youâ€™ve ordered weâ€™ll contact you straight away and work out a solution.
Can I return my order?
Yes, we fully comply with the Distance Selling Regulations so if you change your mind for any reason within 14 calendar days of receiving your order please let us know by calling 01798 872485 within this timeframe. The cost of returning the order will be at your expense and we will refund you, less the original delivery cost (Â£9.99 for orders below and above Â£200) once we have safely received the products.
My order is incorrect or broken â€“ what should I do?
If your wine is not what you ordered please let us know within 14 days we will arrange for the collection of it and redespatch of a replacement order. There will be no additional carriage expense in this instance. If your order has arrived broken please let us know straight away.
Whatâ€™s your policy on faulty wine?
From time to time the odd faulty bottle rears its ugly head. If this does happen then please let us know straight away and retain the bottle plus stopper and contents so we can arrange for it to be collected and returned to us for examination. Please note that faulty wines can only be returned and credited up to 90 days from your receipt of the order. Unfortunately, we are unable to replace any mature wine over 10 years of age and these wines are purchased â€˜sold as seenâ€™.
