Nyetimber Estate is located in West Chiltington, West Sussex and since their original plantings of classic varieties in 1988 they have established themselves as one of England’s premier sparkling wine producers. The vineyards and production have expanded over the years but they have remained true to the Estate’s original philosophy of quality above all else. Nyetimber is fortunate to own all its vineyards, with wines being produced from their 152 hectares across West Sussex and Hampshire. Being able to grow and vinify their own Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, Nyetimber have full control over each stage of the wine making process so they can ensure quality is kept at the highest levels at all times. They also age their wines for longer than most English sparkling wine producers and will only release their wines when they are complex ready to be enjoyed. Southern England is the perfect location for the production of fine sparkling wine, with soil similar to that in Champagne and a climate that allows the grapes to ripen slowly.
