Nyetimber 1086 Prestige Cuvée 2010

West Sussex, England, 75cl

Nyetimber 1086 Prestige Cuvée 2010 (complete with the iconic metal label) is the result of Eric Heerema’s unique vision and a celebration of the skills of Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs. A first for English Sparkling Wine, this Prestige Cuvée is produced entirely from 100% estate-grown fruit, selected parcel-by-parcel. A blend celebrating the elegance and purity of Chardonnay (45%), red fruited notes of Pinot Noir (44%) and the subtle lift of Pinot Meunier (11%). Rich and decadent on the palate with a generous fruit profile balanced alongside savoury, caramelised finish. Nyetimber 1086 Prestige Cuvée 2010 is an exquisite wine of elegance and power!

"This is the ambitious cuvée made from the best of the best of now 90 parcels in 10 vineyards totalling 280 ha, although this particular blend was all West Sussex and a very similar make-up to the 2009 launch vintage. Seven years on lees and nine months post disgorgement. The back label has a lot of code explained on their website. 12,000 bottles made. Tasted blind. Light nose and a very well-mannered palate. Everything is in its place. Not too tart and with real interest. Complete. I actually thought this could be champagne." - 17.5 Pts, Jancis Robinson MW
