The wine comes from high-altitude, old, field-blend vineyards in the very special and unique terroir of the Serra de São Mamede. Part of the wine was fermented and aged in stainless steel, to retain freshness and vibrancy. The other part was aged in a old, 1200l barrel, to add a little richness and complexity.
The resulting wine shows an amazing range of fruit flavours, with great ripeness and weight. It is also balanced with zippy freshness and a stony, mineral texture. A delightful and versatile wine, good on it’s own or with any lighter dish.
