Single bottle = one set of the three wines (three bottles in total)
Would you like to learn how to taste like a Master of wine?
Through a tasting of three red wines you will get an insight into the murky world of blind tasting. The wines are top-secret and will be wrapped in tissue, but you’ll need a friend or family member to open them and remove any branded closures and foils. The techniques and ideas used in this tasting will be applicable to anyone from the casual wine drinker to the enthusiastic amateur, as well as for any wine students out there. The tasting will be hosted on Instagram live by Lee Isaccs who will be interviewing Mike Best MW who will be leading the tasting. Mike is currently the youngest Master of wine in the world and was able to pass the tasting and theory exams on the first attempt. He will go through his ‘It’s not about the wine’ approach to tasting, which is a way to understand and enjoy wine and is applicable to anyone who enjoys a glass of something good. This is a unique opportunity to learn about wine tasting and to ask an MW your wine questions.
The Master of wine (MW) exams are some of the hardest in the world, more people have been into space than have passed the MW. Currently there are 409 Masters of wine across 30 countries.
The tasting will take place on 14th October at 7pm – it will be held on Instagram live on Lee Isaccs’ account Wineman 147 . To take part you will need to follow this account and then click the Instagram live notification which will pop up at 7pm.
Please note that Hennings Wine is providing the logistics to supply the wines and is not involved in the set-up, or execution, of the tasting itself.
