Often know for their rich, gastronomic Bandol rosé, Domaine Tempier also produce small quantities of rather delicious Bandol rouge. Composed of a blend of 75% Mourvèdre 14% Grenache, 9% Cinsault and 2% Carignan, this is deep, inky black in colour. The nose reveals pretty florals with aromas of dark bramble fruits, earthy leather and mushroom. Bold and rich on the palate with blackcurrant, blueberry and and balsamic notes. Masses of freshness from the acidity and tannin structure that it leaves a long, mouth-puckering finish. Serve with Mediterranean-inspired dishes, or steaks on the grill.
