A 2HA single vineyard planted in 1968 west of Malmesbury on iron-rich clay soils. Recently they have discovered that there is a patch of limestone underneath the site too – unique in the Swartland. Creamy stylish citrus fruit with notes of dried apricot, yellow fruit, dried herbs – lovely tension with beautiful fruit, technically the lowest acidity of the three single vineyard Chenins and finishes fruity and supple – “it’s why we love this wine.” Old Vine Project seal.
