Managed by young vigneron Pierrick Laroche, Domaine des Hates currently spans across 25 hectares of vines in Chablis, Petit Chablis and Premier Crus Chablis. Pierrick aims for purity and minerality in his wines with full malolactic fermentation and lees-ageing used throughout the long élevage, with only the lightest use of oak influence used as a more supporting role. Chablis 1er Cru Beauregard Domaine Des Hates 2017 delivers a bright nose of fresh orchard fruits, citrus and wet flint characteristics. The palate is clean and precise, mirroring the nose with fresh fruits and a brisk mineral driven finish so often associated with Chablis. A fantastic Chablis to enjoy with white meat dishes, seafood or simply enjoyed on it’s own.
“The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Les Beauregards (Maison) opens in the glass with a reserved bouquet of citrus oil, green apples and wet stones. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with good depth and dimension, a tight-knit core, racy acids and a saline, delicately fragrant finish.” – 90 Pts, William Kelley, Robert Parker on the release of Chablis 1er Cru Beauregard Domaine des Hates.
