Copper Rivet Distillery with Nick Leonard
The story of Copper Rivet started officially in 2015 when Bob Russell, owner & visionary, spied quite by chance as he was heading elsewhere Pumphouse No. 5 at Chatham Dockyard (this is the bit where I say ‘…and the rest is history’). The Dockyard itself, which out of interest was the launch site for Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory, had been closed by the Royal Navy in 1984, although many ventures established themselves at the vast site over the next few years. One of which, eventually, was Copper Rivet Distillery. The history of Pumphouse no.5 really is a most interesting and engaging story and one that will certainly have you captivated once Nick starts explaining it, but the future looks set to be quite a story in itself with the production from its current inhabitants.
With a Gin; Dockyard, a Vodka; Vela, and Son Of A Gun; an English Grain Spirit, this evening will prove to be a voyage of discovery, whilst opening your eyes to what can be achieved when you and your family follow their dreams!
Along with the above Nick will also be bringing along a Damson Gin, that even though it is currently in production it is not actually in the market place yet, so a bit of an exclusive for you (if you decide to join us, and why wouldn’t you?) The evening starts at 7pm and will last a couple of hours. However, with the amount of information (and tasting) that needs to be passed on this may only be approximate. With tickets priced at £20, this promises to be a most delightful way to spend a Friday evening.
